My poor blog has been sad and abandoned these last couple of weeks, I am a bad, bad blogger. Anyway, I'm back with a birthday card, which fits with a couple of challenges. I've got a surprising number of December birthdays, so there may be more to blog about soon.
This is made for a good friend and former work colleague and he's a HE, which is always a bit difficult for me when card making. Still managed to sneak in a bit of ribbon though!
I got the image from a Google search I did, you can find it here, it does say I'm allowed to copy and share it, though not alter it - does inking it count???? I used Stormy Sky and Old Paper Distress inks, and made a sentiment on the computer and inked it the same way. It's been layered onto a layer of pale grey card and a darker grey card, and the ribbon was white organza until it got distressed. Easy way of co-ordinating the colour.
I would like to enter it into the following:
Hodge Podge Shop - Birthday
Raise the Bar - Trees
Fab N Funky - Birthday
I love it, and spot on for a chap! As I was blog hopping I saw you've come 2nd in one of the previous challenges you entered, but I'm such a nerd I didn't make a note of which one, so sorry! Anyway, exciting news, and if I stumble across it again I'll get back to you!!
